Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Cornerstonepolitics ("we," "us") collects when you use cornerstonepolitics.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as we can.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. When you sign up for the newsletter, the signup form collects your email address and any other fields shown on the form.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and our service providers receive technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and the time of your visit.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them for three purposes: measuring how the site is used, serving advertising, and running the newsletter signup form. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though some embedded features may not.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as pages visited, approximate location and device information. We don't use it to identify individual readers. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising and Revive Adserver

Ads on this site are delivered through Revive Adserver, hosted at ads.fnatrx.com. When an ad loads, the ad server may set or read cookies to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure impressions and clicks, and to prevent fraud. Advertisers whose ads appear here may also receive standard technical data when you click an ad. We don't sell your contact information to advertisers.

Newsletter form provider

Our newsletter signup is an embedded form provided by Sphere CRM (link.sphere-crm.com). Information you enter goes to that provider, which stores it on our behalf so we can send the newsletter. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.

How we use information

  • To answer messages, including corrections and tips.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for.
  • To understand which articles are useful and fix what isn't working.
  • To serve and measure advertising that keeps the site free.
  • To protect the site from abuse and meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, ad serving and email), when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. We don't sell personal information for money.

Third-party links and headlines

Our pages link to government websites, courts, news organizations and other sources. Headlines from outside publishers appear through RSS feeds and link to those publishers' sites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, ask us to correct it, and opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context advertising. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Readers in the EU, UK and similar jurisdictions (GDPR): you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and ask for a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data retention and security

We keep contact messages and newsletter records only as long as we need them for the purpose they were collected. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise perfect security.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. To make a privacy request or ask a question, contact us and choose "General" as the subject.
